P.I.C.K. A Partner Program™ No More Jerks (or Jerkette)™ The way to follow your heart without losing your mind What is the P.I.C.K. a Partner Program? The P.I.C.K. Program has been created by Dr. John Van Epp combines innovative group training with traditional dating principles to help contemporary youth and single-agains to master the Art of Dating and manage their relationships with greater insight. What Are Some Of the Topics? THE HEAD The acronym F.A.C.E.S. is used to explore the five predictive areas of a prospective mate... F amily Background - What impact do our family values and upbringings have on how we view our adult relationships? A ttitudes and Actions of the Consciense - How does the way we make decisions in our lives directly affect how others can relate to us? C ompatibility - How do personality, values, and lifestyle compatibility all affect how well we relate to others? E xamples of Past (Other) Relationships - How we treated (or treat) others can be a window into the future of a new relationships. S kills for Relationships - Communication and conflict resolution are examples of skills that can benefit all of us by strengthening.
The five areas of the Relationship Attachment Model (RAM) are as follows:
Trust - Trust and Reliance are intertwined and constantly building on one another. Rely Commit - This should be shared and equally important to both partners. Touch - Touch is something to share when you can depend on the first four areas. Each of these bonding areas have a range of attachment and each are
independent of each other. Dr. John Van Epp suggests that a relationship
is in the "safe zone" if the attachment areas are built up in a
