ADULT AND CAREGIVER EDUCATION

We provide several programs to help older adults and family caregivers address critical issues in their health and wellness. These include:

Aging Parents - This is a group off seminars for adult children preparing to care for aging parents. The various workshops cover topics ranging from family dynamics to financial planning to coping with stress to specific medical issues. The overall program can be tailored to meet the needs of particular learning groups.

Be Ready - This is a seminar on disaster preparedness. It helps older adults to be ready for serious emergencies and guides them in developing a specific plan for what they will do and how they will do it if a disaster strikes.

Next Steps - This is a seminar on advanced directives. It helps persons who are older or who are facing serious illness to plan for their long-term and end-of-life care, using the nationally recognized "Five Wishes" model. There is also a program for seriously ill children called "My Wishes".
